Suzy the Cycle Witch is the result of decades of songwriting, collaboration, musicianship, and imagination. Every performance, every recording, and every creative decision has helped transform a fifty-year vision into an original cinematic rock opera.

Meet the talented musicians, vocalists, and creators who brought the legend to life.

Dave Dodig

DRUMS • VOCALS • WALL OF DEATH ANNOUNCER

 

Dave, from PA, has lived in Calabash, NC for 20 years. He recently worked as a new home construction consultant/ estimator and has experience in railroad, medical, trucking, motocross, and racecar driving.

He has dedicated 57 years to playing drums and acquired his first drum kit, a Blue Sparkle from Sears, at the age of 12.

He played with The Heaters, a Calabash-based band, for 13 years.

Dave’s first time in a recording studio was a noteworthy experience. Dave summed it up as: “It was an allsum experience for sure, my mind has been blown!”

Lilly Glover

Vocals (Pigtail Penny)

 

Originally from NY, Lilly recently retired from a career as a nurse/midwife and moved to Calabash, NC.

She enjoys listening to all genres of music and loves to sing with friends and family, especially holiday tunes!  Recording Suzy the Cycle Witch, was Lilly's first time in a professional studio.  She is an integral member of the group, both as the voice of "Pigtail Penny" and a member of the chorus.  Lilly commented she enjoyed the experience and was thankful to be involved in such an amazing production.  

Lilly is also a vocalist in the coastal Carolina band, Salty Roots.

Rich "Rip" Glover

Musician • Guitarist • Songwriter Vocals • Bass • Lute • Bandurria

Originally from New York City, Rich now lives in North Carolina. He recently retired after 24 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Westchester Medical Center.

His guitar interest began after watching Cream with his cousin, Tom Glover.  While at NYC's H.S. of Music & Art, Rich played in several bands including Spuyten Duyvil and Mermen Mirage. He later joined Xanthi, performing at venues like The Bitter End, Kenny’s Castaways, The Cat Club, Nirvana Club One, and CBGB’s.

Family and a career filled the next chapters of life.

Rich now plays and sings with Suzy, Leroy’s Boys, Sunset Suspects, and Rip Glover Band.  He was the first one in the studio laying the foundation with the guitar for every song of Suzy the Cycle Witch.

Life now allows him time for prolific songwriting, and music, and for that he is very thankful! 

Rob Glover

Spoons and vocals

A longtime resident of Calabash, NC, he previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry in NY.

He started playing the spoons casually until receiving a set given by his cousin.  Over the past 3 years of studying, he has mastered the spoons.  Rob’s performance was the first time spoons were recorded at Arcadia Studios.

He enjoys various music genres, especially the band Good Rats from Long Island, NY.

Rob has also been an integral “behind the scenes” member of Team Suzy.

Tom Glover

Guitar

Tom recently relocated to Calabash, NC, following a career in the medical device industry.

His love of music resulted in being a founding member of bands such as the Gracie Blues Band and the Shadowbox Blues Band.  His discography includes Live at McGann’s Pub, Haggie Daggy Blues (Nobscot Studios), and co-writing and recording the cover version of Johnnie’s Garden (Emerson College Studios).

In 2025, he released Smoke Rings and Ceegar, (LeRoy’s Boys) modern electric blues songs, streaming on most platforms.

Tom began composing “Suzy” 50+ years ago. The 15-act rock opera/concept album, recorded at Arcadia Studios in Myrtle Beach, SC is now streaming on all major platforms.

He also wrote  “The Letter Box” and “The Forger Farmer” books.

Andy Jones

Vocals/Narrator

Andy lived in Calabash during the recording, by way of Allentown, PA.

He primarily works on "computer stuff" but got  into music in elementary school.

He played the trumpet, baritone horn, and drums in the school band, orchestra, marching band and drum line.  He was also active in the school and church choirs growing up. 

He has always had a love of live music and would always go to concerts in my area. 

Also, he is an avid karaoke fan and enjoys just having fun on the microphone. 

Jeff Onori

Keyboards

Jeff lives in Calabash, NC, and is originally from NJ where he was a Project Manager with AT&T Real Estate for 39 years.

Playing the piano since he was young, he has mastered several styles of music and effects, many of which can be heard on Suzy the Cycle Witch, including rock, blues, and boogie woogie.

He was part of the band Clincher with several members from AT&T. They performed at various weddings.

In 1994, he was involved in recording an album for Joanne Kramer titled "A Little Bit of Rock and A Little Bit of Country."

Bob "Bubba" Pasterczyk

(Ryder / Hot Rod Kid)

A retired Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff from Verizon, Bob has lived in Calibash, NC for 12 years after moving from Massachusetts.

He was an original member of the Calabash-based rock band known as the Romios, where he played guitar and sang.

Despite not having any previous formal recording experience, Bob demonstrated his vocal range performing as several key male characters in “Suzy.”

Donna Wilcox

Vocals (Suzy)

Donna now lives in Calabash, NC following a long career in healthcare in NH.  

Although she had no prior experience recording music, Donna has carried a lifelong love of singing, which began in her childhood as a member of her church choir.

Donna demonstrated her vocal abilities as "Suzy" - the female lead character!

In addition to her work on Suzy the Cycle Witch, Donna is a vocalist for the Salty Roots, a coastal Carolina band.
